The Story Behind the Book

Briefly Here, Forever Loved was created after the loss of my son, Isaac.

In the days and months that followed, I realised how difficult it was to find a place that could hold everything at once. The hopes we had, the memories we wanted to protect, the questions we carried, the pain of saying goodbye and, above all, the love that remained.

Many baby books celebrate the beginning of a child’s life, but when a pregnancy or baby ends too soon, families can be left without a place to record that story. Yet those memories still matter. That baby still matters.

I created this journal to offer parents a gentle space to remember, reflect and preserve the moments they never want to lose. Every page has been designed with care, allowing families to write in their own time, leave pages blank when they feel too difficult and return whenever they feel ready.

Although this book was born from my own experience, it was created for every family who has loved and lost a baby.

Their time may have been brief, but their place in the family is forever.
